In August 2017, the American Museum of Natural History became a new partner museum for the YVR Art Foundation’s Masterpiece Study Program Grants. Through this program, British Columbia and Yukon First Nations artists can apply for funding to visit and study items in the collections of the AMNH Anthropology Division, including the unparalleled collection of approximately 9,000 Northwest Coast works. Awarded artists will be reimbursed for the costs of travel, accommodations, and meals up to $2,500. An independent Selection Committee appointed by the YVR Art Foundation will make award determinations.
