The Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences of the American Museum of Natural History invites applications for graduate student fellowships from students interested in the Ph.D. program and for Research Fellowships in residence for postdoctoral investigators and established scientists to carry out projects in collaboration with department staff. Areas of potential application this year include meteoritics and planetary science and ocean geochemistry. Non-US citizens are eligible.
Graduate students must apply simultaneously to Columbia University and/or the City University of New York; research is under the direction of a museum curator, and work is carried out at AMNH and/or Lamont Doherty Earth Observatory. Fellows receive a full 12-month stipend and fully paid tuition; support is guaranteed for 4 years if the student remains in good standing. Postdoctoral appointments are for six months to two years.
The application deadline for the 2021-2022 academic year are November 15, 2020 for postdoctoral fellowship applications and December 15, 2020 for graduate student applications.
