Collections-based research is vital to the exploration of space and a better understanding of our origins. Part of our mission is to make meteorite samples, and images and data about those samples, available for research by scientists throughout the world. Mineral thermodynamics is the theory- and experiment-based complement to our study of meteorite mineralogy and petrology.
