About Dr. Fritz Hasler If you think the business of weather is boring, then you've never met Fritz Hasler, especially when he starts explaining new meteorological technologies being developed at NASA. These new tools will provide far more accurate information about the weather than was previously available.
Fritz is specifically interested in how NASA satellite imagery helps us to visualize weather patterns. Many of the images of hurricanes that you may have seen on TV and on the covers of magazine like Newsweek and Popular Science were developed by Fritz.
Fritz got his Ph.D. in Meteorology from the University of Wisconsin and the University of Munich. Since 1974 he has worked at the Goddard Space Flight Center, where he has published 45 scientific papers and has long been involved in educational outreach programs.
