Technical Requirements
Subscription Cost
Yearly subscription rates are scaled according to your institution's annual operating budget and the number of Bulletins (one, two, three, or four) you choose to subscribe to. For more information about determining the price for your particular institution, please write sciencebulletins-subscribe@amnh.org.

Science Bulletins Technical Requirements
In addition to a subscription with the Museum, each institution needs the following minimum hardware:
  • HD player - Roku Brightsign,
    Choose the model compatible with your display requirements, either:
    - HD210, which supports HDMI, or
    - HD1010, which supports component (YPbPr)

    Audio output on both models is HDMI, and 1/8” analog stereo

  • HD player connection to a data line (T-1 recommended),

  • SD card: SanDisk Extreme III 30 MB/s Edition Secure - Digital (SDHC) Card, as follows:
    - One Bulletin stream: 8 GB card
    - Two or three Bulletins: 16 GB card
    - Four Bulletins: 32 GB card

  • SD card reader - Lexar Professional UDMA Dual-Slot USB Reader (Model #RW035-001), connected to an Internet-connected computer,

  • 1080i-compatible HDTV or HD projector,

  • Audio amplifier and speakers.
