Every beautiful image we see of our solar neighborhood comes from NASA probes exploring local planets and their moons, along with data that is rarely seen. Join Emily Rice and Mark Popinchalk on a journey through the solar system, featuring information and images gathered through recent NASA missions. 

About the Presenters

Emily Rice_Astro Live Presenter
Dr. Emily Rice is an astronomer, professor, and creative science communicator in New York City. She is an associate professor at the CUNY College of Staten Island and a research associate in the Department of Astrophysics here at AMNH. She is co-PI of the Brown Dwarfs in New York City research group, which studies low mass stars, brown dwarfs, and exoplanets. In addition to her research, Emily organizes Astronomy on Tap events at bars in NYC and shares astronomy-inspired fashion on the STARtorialist blog.
Mark Popinchalk_Astro Live Presenter
Mark Popinchalk is a Physics PhD student at the CUNY Graduate Center. He works with the Brown Dwarf NYC group and is also a host for Astronomy on Tap. He has more liquid water than Mercury but fewer rings than Saturn, and his favorite color is sky blue pink.
