Southern house spider (Kukulcania hibernalis)

Southern house spider females make flat, tangled webs in dark corners and under overhangs and shutters to catch insects.

Go behind the scenes with Associate Director of Living Exhibits Hazel Davies and learn more about the biology and care of the animals at the Museum. Then, enjoy a visit behind the scenes at Spiders Alive! which features 20 species of live spiders, to learn about how we put together our exciting live-animal exhibitions. Attendees should enter the 77th Street Entrance.

Children must be at least 8 years old to attend.
