Join astronomer Amy Mainzer to learn about the asteroid-hunting NEOWISE Project, which has taken millions of images of more than 150,000 solar system objects. Mainzer explains the relationship between asteroid hunting and planetary origin stories, starting with Earth.

Meet the Presenter

Amy Mainzer is the Principal Investigator for NEOWISE at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Her research interests include asteroids, comets, brown dwarfs, and telescopes. She received her Ph.D. in Astronomy from UCLA in 2003.
