Join us for a look at the making of Encounters in the Milky Way, the new Space Show at the American Museum of Natural History. This special program offers a rare behind-the-scenes glimpse at the process of bringing cosmic storytelling to life. From scientific research to immersive visualization, find out how the Museum’s experts transform data into a breathtaking journey through our galactic neighborhood. 

Led by Jackie Faherty, Museum senior research scientist in the Department of Astrophysics and curator of Encounters in the Milky Way, and Carter Emmart, director of astrovisualization and director of Encounters in the Milky Way, the team behind this awe-inspiring production will share insights into how the show was conceptualized, the collaborative science and artistry involved, and the cutting-edge technology that makes it all possible.
