The Git Hoan Dancers resurrect the practice of their culture and educate the world about the Tsimshian way of life.

In this 30-minute performance, with a variety of carved masks, headdresses, drums, and rattles, the Git Hoan Dancers share legends and stories through song and dance while showcasing the magnificence and creativity of Tsimshian art. The group, which includes 12 dancers spanning multiple generations, describes its performers as high-energy, enthusiastic, and spirit filled.

The Git Hoan Dancers are led by Niis Bupts’aan|David Boxley, who was a Consulting Curator for the Museum’s Northwest Coast Hall
