Choose from classes at all levels and learn the art of paper folding from highly skilled teachers from OrigamiUSA.

MORNING CLASSES

All of the following classes take place from 10:30 am–12:30 pm

 

Family Fun: Favorites

Level: Beginner
Teacher: Bernice Smith

Families can explore the magic of origami together. No experience is necessary. For children ages 5 and up. (Children 5-8 must be accompanied by an adult also registered to take the class. Adults without children also welcome!)

 

Pop-up Origami Cards

Level: Unrated
Teacher: Kathy Riley

Learn techniques for making pop-up cards to present simple origami models.

 

Shooting Spinning Star

Level: Intermediate
Teacher: Nobuko Okabe

This beautiful star-shaped spinner is made from a single sheet of square paper.

 

Butterfly Ball

Level: Intermediate
Teacher: Joy Hsiao

Here's your chance to learn the classic model previously known as the Butterfly Bomb.

 


AFTERNOON CLASSES

All of the following classes take place from 2:30 pm–4:30 pm

 

Fuse Wreath

Level: Intermediate
Teacher: Alice Baldwin-Jones

Alice will teach you two lovely wreaths—perfect as holiday decorations and accents for gift packages.

 

Sandy's Wired Flower

Level: Intermediate
Teacher: Sandy Richman

The compound flower is constructed on a wire base with bird base leaves. (Knowledge of the bird base and frog base is required.)

 

Pocket Origami

Level: Intermediate
Teacher: Maria Velazquez

Maria will teach a variety of models that feature a small pocket where you can tuck a note or a coin.

 

Lucky Kitty

Level: High Intermediate
Teacher: Talo Kawasaki

Maneki Neko aka Lucky Cat will bring you good fortune just by being so adorable! (Must be comfortable with accurate rabbit ear folds, shaping and an open sink.)
