Venus shares many characteristics with Earth and is a proxy for an Earth-like planet, yet we know very little about it.

In this Frontiers Lecture, Dr. Martha Gilmore, world-renowned expert on the geology of Venus discusses the importance of this neighboring planet, her research using data from NASA’s Magellan mission to map the surface of Venus, and what we hope to learn from two upcoming NASA missions VERITAS and DAVINCI+.
