Seeing is believing—or is it? Our brains perceive the world through our senses, and those senses can be fooled, creating a gap between perception and reality. Join master illusionist Apollo Robbins and neuroscientists Stephen Macknik and Susana Martinez-Conde as we explore the limits of our own visual perception and learn the scientific secrets behind some of magic’s greatest tricks.

Special access to Our Senses is available to ticket holders one hour prior to the program (6–7 pm).

The Museum gratefully acknowledges The Mortimer D. Sackler Foundation, Inc. for its support to establish the Sackler Brain Bench, part of the Museum’s Sackler Educational Laboratory for Comparative Genomics and Human Origins, in the Spitzer Hall of Human Origins, offering ongoing programs and resources for adults, teachers, and students to illuminate the extraordinary workings of the human brain.
