Google Glass With Aki Watanabe: Packing For Mongolia

Aki Watanabe, a student in the comparative biology doctoral program at the Museum's Richard Gilder Graduate School, was recently chosen as a beta-tester for Google Glass. In this video, Watanabe shows what he's packing for a fossil-hunting expedition to Mongolia. In 1993, Museum researchers working with Mongolian scientists uncovered one of the richest fossil beds ever found. They have returned every year since then to excavate dinosaur, lizard, and mammal fossils from the Cretaceous period. Watanabe made the trip this year with his advisor Mark Norell, chair of the Museum's Division of Paleontology.
