SciCafe: Mapping the Urban Microbiome, Genome, and Metagenome

Every year, scientists learn even more about the human microbiome. But what about our “macrobiomes” – the microorganisms that live in our environments? In this SciCafe, geneticist Chris Mason talks about how he gets the gene sequence of every thing he sees, and the ways we can use this information.

This SciCafe took place at the Museum on February 4, 2015. To learn about upcoming SciCafe events, visit amnh.org/scicafe. To learn more, download the podcast or read a Q&A with Dr. Mason
