Stories as Living Beings: An Installation

Stop-motion animation artist Amanda Strong is an Indigenous (Michif) filmmaker currently based on the unceded Coast Salish territory of Vancouver. This installation features the stunning characters and environments from her award-winning short filmsThrough these films, Strong peels back layers of colonial history based on her own family experience. Using a unique aesthetic, her hybrid, surreal work is grounded in First Nations histories and contemporary concerns.
