Intern for the Public Programs Department

The Public Programs division of the museum organizes The Margaret Mead Film Festival, lectures, workshops, and family events related to the museum’s temporary and permanent exhibits. Interns will have the opportunity to work on projects related to both the Margaret Mead Film Festival and other public programs. This internship enables interns to learn about public programs and film festival production, museum operations, and outreach strategies.

Volunteer for the Margaret Mead Film Festival

The Mead seeks reliable, kind and enthusiastic film fans for the annual Margaret Mead Film Festival which will take place at the American Museum of Natural History on October 17—20.  We are seeking both pre-festival (flyer distribution and quality control screening of films) and at-festival volunteers (responsibilities include: ticketing, greeters, information desk and events).
