Join the Margaret Mead Film Festival Screening Committee

The Mead seeks enthusiastic, reliable film fans to join the Screening Committee for the 44th annual Margaret Mead Film Festival which will take place at the American Museum of Natural History from December 4th—6th, 2020. The Mead receives several hundred submissions annually and the Screening Committee views and analyzes these works offering critical first feedback on submissions for the programming team. Between now and July, Screening Committee members will watch and report on 30-50 film submissions. For more information about the Screening Committee and how to apply, visit the Margaret Mead Film Festival Screening Committee Form.

Intern for the Public Programs Department

The Public Programs division of the museum organizes The Margaret Mead Film Festival, lectures, workshops, and family events related to the museum’s temporary and permanent exhibits. Interns will have the opportunity to work on projects related to both the Margaret Mead Film Festival and other public programs. This internship enables interns to learn about public programs and film festival production, museum operations, and outreach strategies.

To apply send a resume, cover letter, and your availability as a single PDF attachment to: Public Programs (publicprograms@amnh.org), subject line “Winter-Spring 2020: Public Programs / Margaret Mead Film Festival Internship.”
