PCmag.com has chosen Ology, the Museum's website for kids, as one of Eight Great Websites for children. From anthropology to zoology−with biodiversity, Einstein, paleontology, and many other topics in between−Ology offers screen time that can be both educational and fun.

Today's feature, for instance, is "Talking to Fireflies," which allows children to explore why firefly species around the world flash in different patterns, and how researchers study these bioluminescent beetles.

"Amateur archaeologists and anthropologists alike," the article notes, "will enjoy digging through the American Museum of Natural History's site where you can go on an Incan investigation and learn how to keep a field journal."
