It may be too chilly for bird-watching in Central Park, but just across the street the Museum offers warm, indoor bird-spotting in its varied dioramas.

In a video, Exhibition Associate and bird expert Stephen C. Quinn describes the many birds you can find in these ultra-realistic scenes—and not just in "bird" halls like the Sanford Hall of North American Birds.

Watch the video to learn just a few of the many ornithological locales inside the Museum.

For example, with an eagle eye you may be able to spot more than 70 species of migratory spring birds in the Oyster Bay Sanctuary diorama in the Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Hall.

Or see the brown-headed cowbirds on the shoulders of the American Bison in the Bernard Family Hall of North American Mammals.

We hope you'll come spot more birds swooping, hunting, and roosting throughout the Museum's dioramas.
