Digital Universe, a 3D atlas of the known universe, allows you to fly among the stars.

Digital Universe, a 3D atlas of the known universe, allows you to fly among the stars of our solar neighborhood and out to the galaxies surrounding our Milky Way.

The spatial distribution of coregistered data sets reveals the structure of our galaxy intuitively.

Most data are 3D—nearby stars, nebulae, and globular clusters, for example—but we also include Earth-centered all-sky surveys in many wavelengths.

Assembled by the American Museum of Natural History and the Hayden Planetarium, the Digital Universe is updated frequently and will grow to incorporate even more data, extending out to the edge of the observable universe.
