EarthFest Schedule of Events

Join us for an all-day festival of art, science, and culture in honor of Earth Day on April 22, 2018, at the American Museum of Natural History. Events are free for Members or with Museum admission.

Please see below for information on performances, tours, and other EarthFest programs. RSVPs are now closed. For drop-in spaces, please check in 15 minutes prior to the start time at the Information Desk, Main Security, located on Central Park West at 79th Street, accessible via the driveway on either side of the main Museum steps.

Join us for performances by the The Chelsea Symphony and Pilobolus.

GUEST DOCENT TOURS

A diverse collection of dynamic artists and thinkers lead EarthFest audiences on personalized tours through their favorite ideas and galleries in the Museum. Each tour will culminate in a discussion with a Museum scientist. RSVP required.

TAKE WING! THE EARTHFEST BIRD ZONE

We shine a spotlight on our feathered friends in collaboration with the Onassis Foundation's Birds: A Festival Inspired by Aristophanes. Explore the avian world through music, stories, science, and crafts. RSVP required for early morning and evening programs.

POP-UP PERFORMANCES

Surprising and exciting performances bloom throughout the Museum halls. Run time: approximately 30 minutes. RSVP required for early morning program.

Throughout the day, the Kaufmann Theater is given over to a climate-themed mini-film festival with a little something for everyone—from family fun to iconic documentary works and environmental thrillers.
