Clean energy is an important ingredient in combatting anthropogenic climate change. But how do we get there?

In New Jersey, Governor Phil Murphy has set a goal of 100% clean energy by 2035, with a roadmap for transitioning from fossil fuel-based energy to clean energy. One of the core renewable energy resources in New Jersey’s portfolio: offshore wind.

Using New Jersey’s offshore wind program as a case study, Kira Lawrence, senior scientist in New Jersey’s Division of Clean Energy, will offer an inside view of policy and the scientific and technological opportunities and challenges associated with offshore wind development along the Eastern Seaboard.

This program is presented in collaboration with the International Ocean Discovery Program (IODP).
