Meet the Scientist

Part of Events for Children & Families

A group of children and adults, some in chairs, some on the carpet, in a science education room watching a man give a presentation with a laptop and wall monitor.
On the first Saturday of every other month during the school year, Meet the Scientist engages and inspires young minds.

Curators, Ph.D. candidates, and other Museum researchers present their findings in the immersive environment of the Discovery Room. Active participation and questions are encouraged.

Sessions last about thirty minutes, and take place at 2:15, 3 and 3:45 pm.

Passes are available first-come, first-served at the Discovery Room on the day of each event.

The Discovery Room is located on the first floor, between the Grand Gallery and the Hall of New York State Environment.
