How many types of squids are there? 

Learn all about these charismatic (and delicious!) ocean critters with Sam Cheng, a marine biologist at the Museum’s Center for Biodiversity and Conservation. The inspiration for myths and legends like the Kraken and Chtuthlu, squids are also extremely important to the health of our oceans and the livelihood of fishers around the world.

Find out how genetics are used to better understand the biodiversity of squid species and their populations, as well as the importance of sustainable practices in fisheries around the world to support the conservation of these important ocean habitants in this family-friendly program.
