Sessions at 2:15 pm, 3:00 pm, and 3:45 pm

A young woman in outdoor clothing and a hat looks into the distance through binoculars.

Kaiya Provost is an evolutionary biologist who studies birds, including desert birds and parrots. There are over 10,000 species of birds alive today, 1,000 of which live in the United States. Global bird species range from the tiny hummingbird to the gigantic ostrich, with many variations in between! Kaiya will talk about the many different types of birds, highlighting her favorite desert birds from Arizona and Texas. Fly over and find out what’s behind bird biodiversity!

Meet the Scientist programs are for visitors 7 years old and older.
