Professional Interests

Dan's professional career in science education began while earning his Master's Degree in Environmental Studies through Montclair State University. As part of his graduate fellowship at the New Jersey School of Conservation he delivered science lessons in the biological and earth sciences.

For nearly a decade at various organizations throughout New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, he facilitated and designed hands-on environmental and science education programs for all ages and for a variety of socioeconomic groups, with a particular focus on urban youth. Prior to joining the MAT team, Dan served as the Senior Manager of Teaching, Learning, and Technology. Dan is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Science Education at Teachers College, Columbia University.
