Description: The Science in the City Professional Development Seminar will bring together teachers from local public and parochial schools, students and instructors from Barnard College and Columbia University, and museum scientists and educators from the American Museum of Natural History to enhance science teaching and learning in the schools. Using the theme of “Science in the City” this seminar will build participants’ knowledge of science, science pedagogical methods, and ways to use New York City as a resource for science learning.
