Meet the Scientist

“How a Thought Becomes a Memory

Saturday, February 3rd, 2018

Sessions at 2:15 pm, 3:00 pm, and 3:45 pm

A woman in a labcoat smiles while looking at a brain on a tray in a lab

When you learn a new fact, sense things in your environment, or imagine something you’ve never thought of before, your brain creates new connections so that these experiences and ideas can be stored as memories. Rosemary studies the language that our brains and bodies use to communicate with each other in order to understand how these connections are formed and how they can change over our lifetimes as we continue to learn new things and have new experiences. Come learn about the brain’s incredible ability to make new memories throughout the course of a single lifetime.

Meet the Scientist programs are for visitors 7 years old and older.
