Archaeology of Tomorrow - Research Course

Part of After School Program

Archeologists working at night on a dig with equipment and lights

Archaeology helps us know how humans lived in the past, but how is the field preparing for the future? In this course we will examine what new technologies are giving us a better understanding of the archaeological record, and what issues new technologies raise for archaeologists. Explore how the study of material culture is changing as satellites, 3D scanners, and digital museums gain use in the field, and gain hands on experience to see how technology is teaching us about the past.
