Margaret Mead Film Festival (Teens)

Part of Teen Programs

Mead Icon

Join us for a TEENS-ONLY advanced screening for one of this year’s most gripping films at the Margaret Mead Festival, Personal Statement, directed by Juliane Dressner. In this exclusive debut of Personal Statement, when Brooklyn public high school teens Karoline, Christian, and Enoch embark upon their dreams of attending college, they fight not only for their own admissions to college, but to help their peers navigate the college admissions process. Without adequate support from school guidance counselors and administrators, these students become leaders in their generation's fight for education reform.

The evening will include a post-screening discussion with special guests. There will be light refreshments and hands-on art and science activities throughout the Museum halls.
