SCCS-NY Workshop Application

SCCS-NY features a series of workshops on a range of engaging conservation topics for attendees to learn new methods and advance their careers.

We are now inviting the submission of proposals for workshops at this year's conference. If you would like to lead a workshop, please complete and submit the online proposal form. Proposals will be evaluated based on merit, interactiveness, and relevance to conservation (broadly -- we encourage creativity and interdisciplinary ideas!).

Workshop details:

Due to planned construction at AMNH beginning this fall, the workshop schedule for SCCS-NY 2018 is still being finalized. We anticipate that workshops MAY be spread over multiple days vs. all workshops on the final day of the conference, as in past years. All workshops will be 3 hours in duration.

Any workshop topic will be considered - from tools to advance research and careers, to innovative approaches for management, policy, and interdisciplinary collaboration - as long as it is related to biodiversity conservation. We are open to proposals for off-site workshops associated with the conference and are happy to help with sign-up.

Workshop application dates and deadlines:
  • Applications are due by July 1st at 12 pm EDT.
  • Notifications will go out the first week of August.
  • If accepted, please confirm your workshop by September 1st.
