The Department of Ornithology houses the Lewis and Dorothy Cullman Research Facility and the Monell Molecular Laboratory. The facility supports Department of Ornithology and Herpetology research on a range of genomics projects. In addition, investigators from other Museum departments conduct research in the facility, as do visiting scientists. The laboratory is part of the Museum’s Institute of Comparative Genomics.
