In this "Student Learning" issue of Lessons in Conservation, Volume VIII features a suite of materials developed specifically to promote and evaluate the development of key skills in students—oral communication, data analysis, and critical thinking—covering topics ranging from threats to biodiversity to local management of natural resources.

Lessons in Conservation is the official journal of the Network of Conservation Educators and Practitioners (NCEP), and is currently available in electronic format. All materials in Lessons in Conservation are peer-reviewed, and are reproduced from NCEP teaching modules.
