Voucher and Pass FAQ
The Museum sells two types of ticket packages through resellers:
- General Admission (GA) includes access to more than 40 permanent exhibition halls, the Rose Center for Earth and Space, and the Richard Gilder Center for Science, Education, and Innovation.
- General Admission + One Ticketed Exhibition (GA+1) includes General Admission plus one of the following: the Davis Family Butterfly Vivarium, Invisible Worlds, the giant-screen film, the Hayden Planetarium Space Show, or other ticketed exhibitions.
Visitors who want to add an additional ticketed exhibition, the butterfly vivarium, Invisible Worlds, the giant-screen film, or the Hayden Planetarium Space Show to their GA or GA+1 ticket can do so by paying an additional $10 per person, per exhibition. Note tickets must be purchased on-site at the Museum on the day of visit and are subject to availability.
We recommend a minimum of two and a half hours to experience the Museum. Allow an extra hour if you are seeing one of our shows or special exhibitions. If you are seeing multiple ticketed exhibitions, films, or shows, plan on spending at least four hours, plus time for lunch.
The Space Show experience is 30 minutes.
Films average 40–45 minutes.
