THE LEGEND OF THE FLYING FROG

The Endangered Species Act is a United States law that protects endangered animals and plants. When scientists—after years of observation and study—decide that a plant or animal is in danger of going extinct, they present their evidence to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services. If the agency is convinced by the scientists, the animal is put on the Endangered Species List, and both it and its habitat are protected. Thanks to the Endangered Species Act, animals like the bald eagle have been brought back from the brink of extinction .

Imagine you discovered an animal that scientists have long thought to be extinct! And this animal, the flying frog, needs protection.

This is your chance to draw and write a story about a make-believe endangered species.
