Dora Kastel

​Dora is supporting science teaching and learning in the New Visions network through the development of standards-aligned instructional materials along with facilitation of teacher professional learning. She previously taught middle school science and math in East Harlem, and was a professional development leader at the American Museum of Natural History. Dora was a member of the design team for the Five Tools and Processes for Translating the NGSS. She holds a B.A. in geology from the University of Pennsylvania, M.A. and EdM degrees in science and math education from Teachers College, Columbia University, and is currently working on her PhD in science education.
