AMNH Lang Science Program

This year, students currently in 5th grade will be chosen to become part of an exciting multi-year educational relationship with the Museum. These students will experience the Museum through classes incorporating hands-on exploration, behind-the-scenes adventures, and content-rich programming that aligns with the science standards and focuses on biology, anthropology, and physical sciences (astronomy and earth science).

The program begins with a three-week summer program based at the Museum and continues into the school year with meetings that take place on two Saturdays per month. This alternating summer/school year cycle continues until the program concludes, coinciding with the students' graduation from high school.

Eligible applicants must presently be in 5th grade in New York City, for the 2008 - 2009 academic year. The tuition for this program is $1500 per year, but complete scholarships are available based on income eligibility. The application must be postmarked by May 15, 2009.
