Icons that represent COVID-19, people, and animals.

Join the Museum’s Jaffe Chief Conservation Scientist Eleanor Sterling of the Center for Biodiversity and Conservation as she explores some of the ways in which the COVID-19 pandemic has affected biodiversity conservation efforts in a family-friendly program.

Find out about some of the beneficial effects of the sudden reduction of human activities in the wake of COVID-19, as well as about some of the challenges faced by front-line conservation workers whose efforts have been stymied by the global spread of the virus. Bring your conservation questions for the live q-and-a!

Watch a recording of the livestream below, first aired on Thursday, September 24, 2020.
