gazelles

Often the caravan passes a herd of hundreds of gazelles. The gazelles sometimes weave back and forth in front of the fastest jeep, even when it’s driving 30 miles per hour. The Mongolians explain the gazelles’ odd behavior as a strategy to avoid being surrounded by a pack of wolves.
