In addition to module development, NCEP has worked with national institutions in the Mekong Delta to develop greater capacity in biodiversity conservation and protected area management. For example, we developed and implemented training programs on protected area management for conservation professionals, with a dual focus on building conceptual knowledge and professional management skills.

In Vietnam, our partners—the Centre for Natural Resources and Environmental Studies (CRES) of Vietnam National University—also adapted and translated 14 modules to the Vietnamese context. In Lao PDR, we have developed eight training modules together with the Wildlife Conservation Society and the National University of Laos.

NCEP also partnered with the Wildlife Conservation Society in Mongolia, working collaboratively with professors from the National University of Mongolia to adapt 4 modules on wildlife management for practitioners, which were piloted in the Eastern Steppe region.
