This beautifully shot film is the director's meditation on one of the largest cities in the world, where streets and soul are being rebuilt in preparation for the 2008 Olympics. The female director, originally from a rural village, conducts candid interviews with male construction workers, who reveal their hopes and dreams for their personal futures and that of China in the 21st century.
