Dioramas: Exploring Climate Change

Eight Museum dioramas are being transformed for Climate Week NYC to highlight the effects of climate change and human activity on our planet’s ecosystems and biodiversity. Visitors can view familiar scenes through a lens of climate challenges and explore stories of climate resilience in large-scale graphics and interactive media.

Climate Learning Lab

The Museum’s new investigation-driven learning lab, designed for ages 8 and up, launches September 20 during ClimateFest. Drop in on select weekends from 12–5 pm.

Climate Education in Action

Join a Climate Week NYC event for educators, policymakers, and thought leaders about increasing climate literacy and integrating climate education in the classroom.

Organized by the Museum with SubjectToClimate, Climate & Resilience Education Taskforce (CRETF), National Environmental Education Foundation (NEEF), Climate Mental Health Network (CMHN), and Yale Program of Climate Change Communication (YPCCC), the event includes welcome remarks from Museum President Sean Decatur, a keynote presentation by climate scientist and communicator Dr. Katharine Hayhoe, and a series of short talks led by New York City educators who have successfully brought climate change education into their classes. Register for the livestream.
