Space telescopes give us an unprecedented view of the distant universe.

They orbit far beyond our planet’s atmosphere, which blocks infrared and ultraviolet light and distorts ground-based telescope images. They let us watch planets forming, stars exploding, and disks around black holes ejecting jets of gas at almost light speed.

In this exhibition, explore more than a dozen dazzling images taken by the Hubble Space Telescope, James Webb Space Telescope, and the Gaia mission.
