High School Summer Science Institute

If you would like to get to know the Museum and learn about our offerings for high school students for the 2009-10 school year and the summer of 2010, we invite you to apply to our week-long Summer Science Institute.

Participants in this week-long orientation session will learn about the wide range of scientific disciplines both on display in the exhibit halls and under investigation in our laboratories. Students will have the opportunity to meet scientists, attend exclusive behind-the-scenes tours of our collections, and take part in interactive hands-on explorations of topics including anthropology, astronomy, biodiversity, earth science, and genetics.

In addition to learning about our high school programs, students who attend one of the two sessions will receive priority enrollment for the first session of after-school classes.
