Activities

Use these resources to help students engage more deeply with the exhibition content. You can download a full set of activities or select individual components to suit your field trip needs.

Pre-, During, and Post-Visit Activities

These sets of activities are aligned to the Common Core State Standards for English Language arts and the Next Generation Science Standards Standards. Students will:

  1. Before their visit, explore our senses to help them prepare for the exhibition.
  2. At the Museum, use worksheets to gather information.
  3. Back in the classroom, use what they have learned to participate in a discussion.

Each component includes educator support for facilitation.

Timeframe: 2 class periods, plus 40-60 minutes at the Museum.
