Dynamic Earth - Science Research Course

September 16, 2015 - October 28, 2015

Dynamic Earth

Our planet is unlike any other in our solar system! Shaped by dynamic forces that compel all forms of life to adapt to survive, the earth itself is constantly changing down to its core. Examine how geologists understand Earth’s unique history through earthquakes, volcanoes and the forces behind climate change. Through hands-on labs, hall explorations, New York City-based fieldwork and guidance from scientists, uncover how the minerals beneath us reveal secrets from our planet’s past, and how geology has shaped our expectations for other worlds.

This course is a pre-requisite for the Museum's Science Research Mentoring Program (SRMP) in the Physical Sciences track. The course is offered free-of-charge.
