The Discovery Room offers families, and especially children ages 5-12, an interactive gateway to the wonders of the Museum and a hands-on, behind-the scenes look at its science.

The LeFrak Class of the Month Essay Contest provides teachers NYC students in grades 3-12 with the opportunity to align a Museum learning experience with Common Core State Standards by submitting essays about their Museum visit to the LeFrak Family Gallery.
Classes for young children and their parents or caregivers. This program encourages preschoolers, ages 2 to 5 years old, to use their instinctive nature to investigate and explore the world around them in an environment designed for them.
Pre-K-2nd Grade: A hands-on exploration of science and inquiry for School Group visits.
Programs for families with children ages 4 to 11 that runs from October to June that include audience participation and hands-on activities.
