Special Folding Fun Sessions are all-day origami classes taught by OrigamiUSA.

Class levels are dependent on folding ability. If you are new to folding, please consider taking one of our Family Fun classes, designed for beginners.
These are formal classes so please be prepared to stay for the full two-hour class.

Family Fun classes are for ages 5+. Children between 5–8 must have a parent or guardian with them.
All other classes are for ages 8+. Children between 8–13 must have a parent or guardian with them.

Morning Classes

Morning classes run from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. Please arrive by 10:15 am.

Origami Hats (Low Intermediate)

Teacher: Hiroki Yoshihara

Just in time for the Easter Parade. Strut your stuff with these amazing origami hats developed from unique folding patterns. Hiroki will also demonstrate through photos the construction of bigger models and show the class how to develop their own creations and utilize other materials. They will surely impress the church ladies. Or model your fashion statements at the next convention!

Heart Basket (Intermediate)

Teacher: Donna Walcavage

Too late for Valentine’s Day but never too late to express your love for your sweetheart. Donna will show you through all the steps to woo your paramour with this adorable heart basket. This fun and practical model comes with a sturdy handle that you can attach. Fill up the basket with treasures and present them to your darling and their heart will be full.

Afternoon Classes

Afternoon classes run from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm. Please arrive by 2:15 pm.

Family Fun - Favorite Models (Intermediate)

Teacher: Kika Salgo

Kika will teach some of her favorite simple models which is a wonderful way to get learn some origami basics and have some fun! This class is a great opportunity for families to explore the magic of origami together. No experience is necessary. For Family Fun (beginner) classes you must be at least 5 years old. Children between 5 and 8 must have a parent or guardian register and take the class with them. Adults not accompanying children are also welcome!

Navel Shell (Intermediate)

Teacher: Brian Yoon

Visit the seashore with this gorgeous shell by Tomoko Fuse. Brian will take you on your beachcombing adventure starting with some pre-creasing. The journey continues with a series of satisfying crimps to form this fabulous 3D shell. Take your time with the precise pre-creases and you will end up with a marvelous mollusk that you will proudly display on your mantel.
