Join us on Friday, January 9, for an in-person special evening for educators celebrating the Apex Stegosaurus fossil, a towering Stegosaurus that lived 150 million years ago.

The evening will feature a reception with drinks and snacks, followed by a talk from the Museum’s Macaulay Curator of Dinosaur Paleobiology, Roger Benson.

After the talk, teachers will have an opportunity to view the new Apex exhibit, now on view on Floor 4 of the Museum’s Gilder Center with a touchable cast and interactive media stations. Named for its large size, this fossil skeleton is relatively complete and shows signs that this dinosaur lived into old age.

This exclusive event is an opportunity to network with fellow educators and consider how to use this exhibit on school trips with your students.

Agenda
4–5 pm: Sign in and Reception
5–6 pm: Curator talk
6–7 pm: Exhibit exploration

This event is free. One hour of CTLE credit is available.
