Clouds are so familiar that we rarely give them a second look—but they remain one of the great puzzles of atmospheric science, from forecasting Earth’s changing climate to understanding distant worlds.

Join astrophysicist Diana Powell for a journey from the skies above to planets where clouds of molten rock, iron, and crystals form in extreme conditions. Discover what these alien clouds can reveal about the climates of other worlds and what they might teach us about our own planet’s future.
